Cargo sheds: The two main cargo sheds at Maastricht Aachen Airport have a combined capacity of over 10.000 square metres with annual handling capacity exceeding 100.000 tonnes. In the sheds import and export shipments are kept strictly apart and storage is never a problem. The sheds are well equipped and can handle any type of cargo.
        

Live stock: Countless species, ranging from smallest to very large animals have passed trough the specialist facilities of Maastricht Aachen Airport. In a temperature controlled facility with automated feeding systems, specially-coated floors, staff trained to handle live stock and 24/7 veterinary services available any kind of animal will feel right at home.

   
Cooling/Freezing: For handling delicate freight, specialist facilities are present. In the market for perishable products the storage of goods in the proper conditions with great care yet quick processing is what matters most. Maastricht Aachen Airport and Maastricht Handling Services are experienced in handling perishables such as fresh flowers, fish and meats. Among the facilities for these goods are multiple cooled warehouses with a total capacity for 1050m3, where storage temperatures as low as -22°C are guaranteed.
        

   
Customs: Directly adjacent to the main cargo shed are offices of the "Douane", Dutch customs, avaivalable 24-7. Maastricht Handling Services has interlinked its systems with customs and will take care of all the paperwork for clients when needed. This combined with the camera secure, customs approved warehouse with a record of non-pilferage and non-theft contribute to Maastricht Aachen Airport holding official Border Inspection Point (BIP) status.
