Enjoy nature, culture and sunshine in one of the largest cities in Bulgaria.
Burgas, one of the largest cities in Bulgaria, is located on the Black Sea in eastern Bulgaria. The city is surrounded by enchanting lakes which are home to many different animal and plant species. The large water surface attracts the country’s largest bird population, including glossy ibises and pelicans.
Water also means beach and water sports! Burgas has an eight kilometre-long beach that is very popular. The beach is very suitable for families with children as it gently slopes down. For ‘bigger kids’ the beach offers plenty to do as well: you can snorkel, parasail and jet ski.
If you want a day out, you can visit neighbouring towns such as Sozopol and Nesebar. Here you can visit museums and historical buildings such as Byzantine churches and old city walls. If you want to sit down and take a break, there are plenty of terraces of course. Visit Burgas and enjoy a holiday full of possibilities!
