Experience authentic Portugal in Faro: an idyllic city that is surrounded by beautiful nature. Visit a part of the Algarve where tourism is still relatively undeveloped.
Faro is located in the south of Portugal and is the capital of the Algarve. Faro’s beach is situated on the outskirts of the city, resulting in limited tourism. The centre of Faro consists of two areas: the oldest part lies within the city walls and is close to the coast. The other part is slightly less old and somewhat more expansive. Faro’s beautiful sandy beach is 5 kilometres long and is only 5 minutes away from the airport. It is remarkable that this beautiful secluded beach has not yet been discovered by foreign holidaymakers.
In the centre of Faro you will find the old marina. Starting here, you can easily explore the city centre, but it is also an ideal place to sit on a terrace or to take a sunset stroll. Various excursions are organised from the marina. And that’s not all. You can also go hiking on deserted islands, do some dolphin spotting or admire the caves off the coast of Praia Marinha.
Faro is also very suitable for a city trip!
